Neur0n has just made his 6.37 CFW one more step closer to greatness by adding ISO drives. It has two functions, UMD required mode and the ME driver which is with no UMD. This is the best of the new Custom Firmware releases we have seen as you also have a recovery menu, vsh and PS1 support (Titles downloaded via PSN)

Instructions are below.

First, you need to install CFW or HEN(ex. 5.00M33 , 6.20TN , 6.35PRO) in your PSP.

1. copy UPDATE folder at ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
2. Put 6.37 official update at ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/637.PBP .
3. Run installer from xmb.

– features –
Hold R trigger and turn on the psp, you can enter recovery menu.
Hold Home button and turn on the psp, you can Boot OFW !!!!!!!

Add OPNSSMP option. Now you can run ISO without decrypt EBOOT.bin ,if ISO’s required FW is lower than 6.37.
You can set this option at “RecoveryMenu -> Advanced -> Advanced Config -> Excute OPNSSMP.bin” .

Prometheus ISO Loader(PIL) seemed not support 6.37 . If you use PIL, need decrypt EBOOT.BIN .

Custom Firmware 6.37 ME-2 Released! Dual boot OFW/CFW

Neur0n is becoming quite the Dark_AleX it seems, he’s released something new. You thought you saw it all in a CFW right? Well think again. 6.37 ME brings a cool new dual boot feature. Just hold home on a cold boot and you’ll boot up OFW 6.37!!! How cool is that?

Oh and before you tell me I’m slow, I know this was out a day ago. However it wasn’t exactly stable enough for me to post it. But Neur0n has been busy. In fact in the last hour of me posting this a more stable update has been released, that has many bug fixes. This firmware is for PSP-2000 units only that can be fully flashed. So don’t try this on a TA88v3+ and make sure your PSP has a Pandora Battery handy too in case something goes wrong and you do get a brick. Its not considered a 100% stable CFW, you have been warned….

Custom Firmware 6.37 ME-2 changelog:

v2
– Update NidResolver.
– Bug fix.

Dev’s notes:

Downgrader for FW 6.31/6.35 to Firmware 6.20 Released!

Davee's 6.31 & 6.35 to 6.20 Fw downgrader.

Davee has released a signed 6.31 & 6.35 to Firmware 6.20 downgrader for those that want to switch from 6.31 HEN or 6.35 HEN to use Total_Noob’s 6.20 TN HEN. Downgrading is risky business, so remember if you do decide to take this path and downgrade. We’re not responsible if you brick your PSP!

One thing to remember 6.20 TN-D is on the way, this will have POP’s support (PSX) 6.3x HEN developers may or may not be adding PSX support in later releases…

6.35/6.31 -> 6.20 Downgrader By Davee

[What does it do?]
Allows users who are incontent with their firmware to downgrade to 6.20 using the Sony Updater.

[How do I use it?]
Copy the “PSP” folder to your PSP. The downgrader is “signed” and can be launched from OFW XMB. You need to copy the 6.20 update to PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP and for PSPgo it must be the eflash it is placed on. After setup run the downgrader and follow the onscreen instructions.

[What does it technically do?]
It uses the utility/power exploit to gain kernel access and reboots into the updater with a special PRX running. This PRX uses the pspdecrypt functionality to decrypt the updater PRX when needed. This allows the updater to boot in the newer firmwares.

PSP developer Total_Noob has made good on his promise to update his famed 6.20 TN HEN with the release of 6.20 TN-C. This update includes many updates and features, including online gaming support. In addition to these updates the HEN has now been signed (which we have been seeing a lot of lately) so it no longer needs to be run through the Half-Byte Loader and Patapon 2 demo exploit.

Here is the full changelog:

- Added online gaming support.
- Added server for TN NETWORK UPDATE.
- Fixed bug in VSHMenu where CPU speed hasn’t changed when set it to default.
- Fixed bug in Digital Comics that caused a crash.
- Fixed server redirection.
- Removed FAKE INDEX.DAT from VSHMenu, but feature is still effective (move version.txt to X:/seplugins/).
- Signed HEN with prxEncrypter (thanks to Mathieulh, bbtgp, coyotebean, kgsws and everyone who involved to this project).
- Used Davee’s $v1 trick to find power_buf_addr.

In addition to the TN-C update, also announced a few features he plans on adding to the next update 6.20 TN-D, including POPS support (aka the PS1 playback everyone has been wanting) and improved NAND protection.

So until then, many many thanks to for his continued work, and we are looking forward to the next release!

Tested on PSP Go, works fine!
